Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the syllable count?
It is an estimate. The tool applies common English rules, such as silent e and -ed endings, so most everyday words are right, but some words will be off by one. Check important counts against a dictionary.
Can it give me a full list of all two-syllable words?
No. The tool counts the words in the text you paste. It does not hold a dictionary of English words, so it cannot list every word with a given syllable count.
